 "Small Business of the Year"This award is a true honor. When we found out the other businesses nominated for it, we didn't think we had a chance but felt privileged to be part of such a fine group. So, the Chamber Gala (over 500 guests) happened to take place on the Friday of our busiest wedding weekend of the year. Manny and Clara rushed home after a large set-up, quickly freshened up and threw on a tux and a gown. They made it to the Convention Center in the middle of the salad course, took two bites of food, and were announced as the winners. "Slack-jawed" would describe their reaction. The congratulations and kind comments were overwhelming. Manny and Clara stayed until around 11pm, then floated home. Manny was up at 5am the next day to begin the set-up for Saturday's wedding event. No rest for the weary! |
